The 15-point inspection

Every certified motor is inspected by our team and verified by our repair partners at Nautilus Engineering. The completed checklist — with actual readings — ships with the motor.

Engine
01 — Compression test
All cylinders measured and recorded in PSI. Full readings on your report.
02 — Cold start behavior
Started cold on camera. Idle quality and warm-up documented.
03 — Throttle response
Progressive acceleration to wide-open throttle. No hesitation or stumble.
04 — Fuel system
Carbs or injectors inspected. Fuel pump tested. Filters checked.
Cooling & drivetrain
05 — Water pump
Impeller inspected. Water flow confirmed at idle. Thermostat checked.
06 — Gear case oil
Drained and checked for milky contamination. Refilled. Engagement tested.
07 — Lower unit seals
Prop shaft seals inspected for weeping. Prop nut torqued to spec.
08 — Shift function
Forward and reverse engagement positive. No slipping or grinding.
Electrical & cosmetics
09 — Electrical systems
Starter motor, stator, rectifier, and wiring harness inspected.
10 — Power trim / tilt
Full range of travel tested. Fluid level checked. No leaks.
11 — Saltwater flush
Full flush with fresh water. No scale buildup in cooling passages.
12 — Corrosion check
Powerhead, midsection, lower unit. All findings documented.
13 — Serial number
Verified and recorded. No signs of tampering or alteration.
14 — Cowl and exterior
Latches, vents, and mounts checked. Cosmetic condition documented.
15 — Clean and detail
Motor cleaned before photos and delivery. What you see is what ships.

90-day limited warranty

Backed by Nautilus Engineering, our repair partner. One claim per motor, up to $500 in parts, labor covered.

How to make a warranty claim

STEP 1
Contact Nautilus Depot by WhatsApp or email within the warranty period. Describe the issue.
STEP 2
Return the motor to our West Palm Beach location. Shipping coordination provided.
STEP 3
Nautilus Engineering performs the diagnostic and repair. Parts up to $500 and all labor are covered.
